I said aloud – “that’s Sunnylands!” Isn’t it amazing and did you do the house tour?
Sunnylands is exquisite! We took our time and walked the entire grounds. I took a zillion pictures. We did not visit on a house tour day, so we didn’t get inside, other than the public entrance, the ubiquitous gift shop, one art gallery, and the restaurant/snack bar. I’ll have to go again on another visit to California. Thanks for visiting my blog.
Oh you must but booking is imperative as there are only 7 per tour.
Also in the reception building – the film which takes 20 minutes is well worth a watch before the tour.
You cannot take pics in the house but around it yes. I too took many many.
Love this stone post! Tahquitz Canyon is spectacular!
There are so many spectacular places in the desert and canyons. I have more pictures of stones, rocks, cacti, desert plants. Tahquitz Canyon was fascinating. I wish I could have spent more time there. We only had about an hour before closing time. Thanks for visiting my blog.
Heh – I’ve been taking lots of pictures of stone while travelling at the moment. What a shame this theme didn’t come up when I’m back home and able to do it justice!
